Hi! I’m Yesenia, the founder and co-owner of Showrunner Events. Being in the wedding industry has been a delightful destination and a dream come true. Helping couples plan the most gorgeous (and most expensive) day of their lives is a treat! I love taking great care of my couples, from the planning stress to the much-anticipated go-day. Managing the actual wedding day magic is my favorite part. The tradition of marriage continues because there is something so magical about committing to love and life together. When I’m not planning weddings or events, I am therapizing couples and families (AMFT) at a local community clinic. This means my relationship with couples can go beyond their wedding day! I enjoy kayaking, hiking, camping, and traveling to new and exciting places like Machu Picchu—wherever the culture is at its richest.

Hey! I'm Melaina and the other half of Showrunner Events. I grew up in the glow of great dinner parties, usually recruited by my mother to be a waiter, a sous chef, or a table scape designer. Sitting back and watching guests bask in the moment we’d created was somehow better than television. Years and years later, I’ve worn all those hats professionally, and they’ve led me to planning. I love that my job entails finding the perfect flatware and china pairing, obsessively photographing a stunning floral arrangement, and occasionally crying at other people’s best friends’ speeches. I will always be a perfectionist about details. I will always lean into the strength of a great vendor team. And I will always be dancing during the sound check. When I’m not in planning mode, you’ll find me gardening, laughing loudly with friends, tracking down the best oysters, befriending cats, and photographing it all.

We worked together planning our Sonoma wedding at Cline Cellars for over two years through covid and we are so lucky to have picked the right planner. Yesenia was with us every step of the way with suggestions and guidance to make us feel comfortable and confident in our decisions. Communication and coordination with vendors felt effortless because she has strong relationships with everyone we worked with and it always felt like she was representing us, her client, looking out for our best interests.
